What Can You Say?

Wow this week has definitely just flown by. We're through hump day and now it's beyond midday Thursday and that just leaves a few more hours till Friday lunchtime.
You might not think that's a very significant time but for me it is. I have been working so hard on client work over the last few weeks that my own projects have been all but forgotten so 1pm Friday is the time that the client work stops and I get a start on the work that I want to do for myself.
I guess if your main thing here in adult is affiliate marketing then you won't quite understand why working on my own projects is so important but you probably will if you're a content provider.
Today I don't have anything really major I want to talk about ... I got that out of my system with this week's column over on Porn Resource ... so today I thought I might talk about a few odd thoughts that have been buzzing around in my head.
Struggling to know what to say?
If you're struggling to know what to say to encourage sales from your free sites and galleries why not let the girls in the images and videos do the talking for you?
I think that this would work particularly well if you're promoting the porn star niche but it can work just as well in many of the other niches because those same girls who appear in the porn star niche are the ones who appear in all the other niches too.
So how do you find what they have to say? Go to Youtube. No ... I'm not crazy. If you head over to Youtube and do a search for one of your favourite porn stars you're almost certain to come across interviews that they have done as well as promo clips for some of their videos and you'll find lots of interesting dialogue that you can use on your sites and galleries.
Check out some of their clips on some of the tube sites too ... you might find plenty of dialogue that you can use before the moaning starts.
I'll leave it up to you to work out how to include that dialogue in your sales pitch but you should be able to generate a lot of interest if you include quotes from those girls when they're talking frankly about what they like to do when their clothes come off.
And you might be surprised by what you hear in some of the interviews on Youtube. Sure ... some porn stars are ditzy blondes but there are some very smart ladies there who may even be a whole lot smarter than you or me.
Could you be a sex therapist?
Have you ever thought of a career change and moving from being an adult webmaster to becoming a sex researcher? Well if you have ... or even if you've just decided that maybe that might be a fun career ... let me tell you that it might be fun but the pay rates aren't so good.
According to an article I've just been reading your average sex researcher earns less than $63,000 a year. However, if you want to move up the ladder and become a sex therapist, blog and make guest appearances on TV shows then your salary will really take off.
You might even think that you would make a very good sex therapist because of all the sex you see day after day as you work in this industry. However I can tell you from experience ... years in this industry will never really prepare you for the strange kinks and fetishes that turn people on in real life.
I thought I was fairly broad-minded and experienced in all things to do with sex before I became a sex worker but after five years in that role I realised that I knew almost nothing when I first started. Even now I can't believe what some people have to do ... have to inflict on themselves or have others inflict it on them ... to become aroused.
Just let your imagination run with these two words ... hammers and testicles ... and that's just the stepping off point for a world of totally bizarre things that I encountered.
But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't give up on the idea of working as a researcher or therapist. It will certainly broaden your mind and give you a lot more to talk about when you're writing the sales pitches on your porn sites.
And that's it for me this week ... now I'm diving back into a world of spreadsheets and product descriptions. I can't see anything even vaguely erotic about that but somewhere out there someone is getting turned on by them.
